In this thesis , we give a simple method for character extraction , and then standardize the character based on the center of gravity . at last , we use mathematical morphology principle to thin the character . the primary work of this thesis includes giving an adaptive segmentation algorithm , and using morphology principle and sharpening algorithm to solve the problems occurring in noise removing ; illustrating a simple method for character extraction ; demonstrating the difference between serial thinning method and parallel thinning method ; giving a algorithm based on unit circle projection and combining the texture feature for recognition 本文的主要工作包括:提出了一种自适应去噪的算法,并针对在去噪过程中出现的文字断笔现象运用形态学及锐化处理的方法进行修复及预防;给出了一种简单的文字分割的自动算法及手动方法;对比了串行细化和并行细化算法的不同;提出了一种基于单位圆投影的特征提取方法并结合纹理特征进行细分识别。
